Missionaries and Chaplains
At Taringa Baptist Church, we are blessed to partner with dedicated missionaries and chaplains who serve both here in Australia and across the world.
Each of them is committed to sharing the hope of Jesus in word and action—whether through local chaplaincy in schools, or through mission work in communities overseas.
As a church family, we pray for, support, and stand alongside them as they bring the light of Christ to people in every walk of life.

Chaplains
As a church, we are proud to support chaplains serving in our local state schools. These chaplains provide a caring presence for students, staff, and families—offering encouragement, practical help, and a listening ear in both everyday life and times of need. Their work is a vital expression of God’s love in the school community, and we count it a privilege to partner with them through prayer, financial support, and encouragement.
Indooroopilly State School
Indooroopilly State School is grateful for the support provided by a part-time school chaplain, Tracy Spalding who provides a caring presence, listening ear, encouragement, and a message of hope.
Chappy Tracey works alongside the school’s wellbeing team to help students navigate challenges such as relationship difficulties, self-esteem issues, and family stress, while fostering a positive and inclusive school community.
Chappy Denise Ko – QASMT
We are blessed to support Chaplain Denise Ko (“Chappy Denise”) in her ministry at Queensland Academy for Science, Mathematics and Technology.
Denise plays a vital role in student wellbeing—offering care, encouragement, and a listening ear to students, staff, and families. Motivated by her commitment to Jesus, she seeks to live out His love daily among the students, fostering belonging, resilience, and hope. Through her presence and compassion, Denise helps create a school community where every person feels valued and supported.
