Why We Exist

We exist to know Jesus, share His love, and live out our faith in a way that brings hope and purpose to the world around us.

Jesus

Jesus has come to give us life and life to the full. Through his death on the cross we can have our sins removed, full access to God and the opportunity to live life the way we were designed to.

At Taringa we seek to have Jesus firmly planted at the centre of everything we do publicly and privately. We believe that eternal life begins now.

God Has a Purpose for Your Life

You are no accident, and it’s no accident that you are here today. God has determined the time and place that we live and therefore we want to live this life we’ve received on purpose.

His plan is that from the overflow of his love and grace to us we will serve the world with joy. As God prospers our lives through deep connection with Him and close community with each other, we believe that we will see his purposes thrive.

Why Do We Exist?

So, we must love everyone as our neighbour (Matthew 22:39).

We are not a perfect church or perfect people but we are church that seeks to live out God’s instruction in our community.

We hope and pray, that together, we can be all that God has called us to be.

In everything we do at Taringa, we want to bring praise to Jesus Christ. His love for us compels us to live our lives in such a way that we are having an ever-increasing impact on the suburbs, cities and nations around us.

We take seriously the example of Jesus in loving all people. His story of the Good Samaritan sets a high standard of care for others and broadly defines neighbours without restriction to race or belief.
