Opportunities to serve include:
Bible Readers
Each week in our services we have people read the Bible. This takes a little bit of practice to pronounce words with clarity and emphasis but is a blessing to all.
Time Commitment: once every eight weeks
Morning Tea Hospitality
Each week we practice our value of Generous Hospitality but having morning tea together. Our wonderful teams purchase and prepare morning tea for the church and then serve Tea and Coffee after the service.
This is not just about food but is a means to the end of creating a welcoming space that people want to stay back after the worship service to engage in community with one another. It is a wonderful way to serve newcomers and regulars.
Time Commitment: Once every eight weeks
Sound Engineer (Tech Team)
Great services dont just occur. We have a committed Tech team who works behind the screens to balance the sound mix, organise the projection screen elements and organise the livestreaming. Our team arrives early to balance the mix on a sound console, setup microphones, foldbacks and speaker levels
Time Commitment: once every four weeks approx 8:00 am – 11:30 am
ESL Helpers
Each week during school terms we seek to help people who’s first language is different. Our classes often have trained teachers but we also need people who can help students with pronunciations and worksheets etc. If you have a heart for people please join us for ESL.
Time Commitment: Classes operate weekly during school terms and volunteers can assist when available.
